Broadband outage Staines, Surrey since 20/11/25

We have been without broadband since Thursday morning (20th Nov 2025) and have been told it is an Openreach issue and that it must be affecting a large area. Sky advisor informed us that it is probably a green box issue and it looks like it is from the Egham area. I have rung every day to find out when it is expected to be fixed. Today, I was told the estimated date given from Openreach is........17th  DECEMBER!!!! That will be nearly one month of no internet which seems insane!!

I have to work from home at the moment to look after my husband who has just had an operation. I have had to use all my data to do so, which I had saved up to go towards a new phone. It is incredbly frustrating.

Is anyone else experiencing issues? I cant find anything else online relating to the issues we are facing.

External issues are the responsibility of Openreach to fix and usually they aim to do so within 2 working days but as they haven't then this might be due to the fact that might need to get in permissions to dig up things like roads or pavements all of which will delay repairs.

As this hasn't been fixed within 2 days you do qualify for auto compensation credit which should be applied to your account within 30 days of your service being restored:
