Hi all
Swapped to Sky broadband last month and was supposed to be activated on the 22nd of April, now 1 month later it is still not activated and keep getting texts from sky saying
'Hi it's Sky, Sorry your Sky Broadband install did not go ahead. We will book you the 1st date available. Once confirmed (up to 1 working day) we will let you know.'
Every single day I'm supposed to get an update I get another text saying the activation hadn't gone ahead... 1 whole month of trying to work from home without WiFi it's absolutely beyond a joke and no end in sight, no idea when it'll be activated, I hold no hope at all any more but worry I'll have the same issue swapping to a different provider. Feel like they just don't care. Complete rubbish.

What package did you order?

Hi @jamesn123
Thanks for your reply really appreciate the help. Do you know if there is any way to get in touch with openreach at all? I have seen multiple openreach vans in my exact area eeveryday while this issue has been going on so seems strange that they still have not provisioned my line?
I ordered sky broadband superfast, sky pay as you talk. I don't have a landline telephone and originally thought that may be part of the issue but when I first ordered the package, and upon calling sky customer support again, they said that it would not make a difference that I don't have one; WiFi should still work fine.

If you go to this site and use the 'address checker' then post the resulting table back here it may help us figure out what the delay is.

I see, so communications must be done through Sky service provider to reach openreach @jamesn123
Thanks again. Posted the table also, but does not mean much to my understanding; could you shed some light on it for me?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreSo the table shows that there is no FTTP install to be done so the delay cant be there.
It also shows FTTC is available so the delay shouldnt be there either.
I think you need to call Sky and find out what the reason is because from what I can see there should be no reason for a delay as it'll be a remote activation.
