Broadband no more

I had 150MB FTTP and noticed that my bill was going up from £30.00 to £41.00 per month. I contacted Sky to ask what deals they had for the same product and was told that £32.00 was the best they could do.

I looked around and found a deal for the exact same speed with an improved router (WIFI 6) for £22.00 per month so I went for that and it went active today. Now that my Sky Broadband has cancelled they sent an offer for £24.00 per month, well too late, why couldn't this offer be made before cancellation.

I've been with Sky for 15 years and recently cancelled stream as I didn't think it was fit for purpose, now broadband has gone and I'm in the process of moving three sims to another provider.

I feel that with Sky you are just a customer number now rather than a valued customer. It's such a shame that a once brilliant service provider has become so non customer friendly.

All my opinions are my own.

Re: Broadband no more

From what I've seen on the BT forums of customers leaving Sky, this tactic seems common. I can only assume that they're happy to call your bluff regarding leaving, & only willing to make an offer after you've done so. I don't recall a single instance of anyone cancelling BT & going back to Sky, so it seems a rather bizarre policy.

As for an ISP not valuing it's customers, you'll find a very similar mentality with BT when your current contract ends.
