Broadband needs for Hub 6

Hi, I'm Eric,  and I'm exhausted  !😫 I joined sky April 9th this year and I've had nothing but problems mainly with wifi connection,  most of the time,  there isn't any  !!!

I've got sky stream,  2 pics with no fibre connection as yet,  after 4 visits by technicians trying to solve my problem,  2 boosters later,  still poor reception,  latest technician advised having sky hub 6 with wifi boosters but having talked to 2 different people on the phone,  I can't have hub 6 because I don't have sky fibre,  Google says hub 6 is compatible with basic copper phone line , who is correct  ???

Re: Broadband needs for Hub 6

Thankyou for your help and explanations,  I'm by no way technically minded but i now realise despite so many different people telling me otherwise that with only Sky stream wifi without a fibre connection,  I cannot upgrade to the hub 6 at present.

Maybe when fibre arrives at my property i will be able to enjoy and delight in faster broadband speeds,  until then i will endeavour to endure the problematic wifi connection only.

I must admit that when i joined Sky from  Virgin Media i was expecting a lot more and therefore must share my displeasure at the service I'm receiving. I may therefore return to my previous supplier.

The Max Hub supports FTTP, FTTC and even ADSL.  What it cannot do is G.fast (150Mbs Ultrafast 1 arriving at an address over copper)

Fundamental physics dictates that Virgin can deliver much higher speeds over its private coaxial cable network than any Openreach ISP could offer over a copper phone pair.

The reverse situation takes effect once Openreach optical infrastructure is available.
