Broadband hub router

I have a black broadband router I'm on full fibre 150 and saw that Sky have a white broadband router which is Wi -Fi 6 and wonder if I qualify for it but saw a notice that say it won't work with Sky q boxes is that true.
Thanks.

That's the 2023 Max Hub

and wonder if I qualify for it

If you add the WiFi Max subscription supplement to the broadband account

but saw a notice that say it won't work with Sky q boxes is that true.

The Max Hub can supply a main Q box with broadband: it doesn't participate in the 'Q Mesh' as the two previous Hub models did.

That sounds typical.  New customers get a Max Hub by default, but current Sky Broadband Hub users have to pay the supplement.

Re: Broadband hub router

I took a new broadband contract out on July 6 but didn't get a new hub so if I sign up will Sky give me one free or pay the £6 a month.

If you were already a Sky Broadband customer (on any of their broadband products) and had a Sky Broadband Hub then you wouldn't receive a Max Hub if you didn't add the subscription supplement.

It would be a new 24 month contract at an additional total cost of £144 over the 2 years, plenty of people have 'upgraded' to the Max Hub expecting miracles and have been sorely disappointed. If you want better wifi coverage, consider investing that money or less into a decent wifi mesh system that is yours forevermore and not just rented.
