Broadband dropping, devices not connecting

Tv keeps buffering.  Some devices cannot connect to wiFi or have to keep reconnecting them as signal drops out.
According to your online checks everything is fine, but this has been an ongoing problem over last 10 days or more

Re: Broadband dropping, devices not connecting

I was advised that changing to fibre would be faster as my son is using it for games. But apparently it has gone slower. I have tried using the Online checker but if just says that everything is ok. Can you recommend what I can do now about this.

Re: Broadband dropping, devices not connecting

I have the same issue: TV disconnects from WiFi in the middle of the night and my phone does the same, without any chance of reconnection until the morning, after 6 or 7 a.m. However, my husband's phone is connected and I can see it on My Sky account settings, when I check the connection. This is going on for at least a month and I have no clue what it could be!🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm seriously thinking of switching to BT...

@southafrica your issue sounds like flaky WiFi which is a common issue especially if their is interferencecfrom neighbour's networks. Look into improving WiFi in your property which will cost money. Sky really can't guarantee usable WiFi in every home from justvtge stanndard hub.

@Dug2 gaming requires a decent WiFi signal free from interference if your son's room is some distance from the hub that is likely tge problem having a faster servicecto the hub doesn't mean WiFi speeds improve.

Number of possible solutions but if the issue is confined to your son's gaming you may want to look into buying a powerline networking kit which uses the mains wiring in your home to get the data to your son's room. One adapter is plugged into a wall power socket near tge hub - they can come with pass through sockets so you can still use that outlet for power - and linked by an ethernet cable to tge hub. The second adapter is plugged into a wall socket in your don's room and similarly linked to his console or PC this avoids issues with interference which causes lag.
