Broadband disconnecting/reconnecting

Hi,

 

My sky broadband discconects then reconnects a few times a day (lights on the router go orange). Not much of a problem BUT it disconnects my work loptop vpn that causes problems, my home cameras disconnect etc 

 

Anyone know why it does this and a way to remedy it as its driving me mad.

First step would be to post your router statistics. This can help detect if there's a fault present on the line. 

 

You can find the router statistics by logging into router. Enter 192.168.0.1 into web browser. Once prompted for login details, enter "admin" for username. The password will either be "sky" or the Wi-Fi password. Once successful, you'll be logged into the Sky Hub.

 

Click on the "Maintenance" tab if you're not on there already, scroll down and click on "Show statistics". Now you can either copy+paste the info to your post or take a screeshot, upload it to an image hosting website (like Imgur) and post the link to it here.

@dede1981  Can you please run the broadband test, this can be done either via the Sky app on mobile data or use the link below.

If it finds an external fault it should enable you to book an engineer.
