Broadband constantly dropping

Issue:
Since moving house 2 years ago, my broadband connection keeps dropping. When it happens:

  • All router lights go out (except power).

  • Service can take up to 15 minutes to return.

  • Each reconnection gives me a new IP address and often a different location (e.g., Northampton, Aylesbury, Milton Keynes, Hayes, Luton, Bristol).

Troubleshooting so far:

  • Started on 150MB broadband — issue occurred.

  • Sky checked the line — no fault found.

  • Router replaced — issue continued.

  • Upgraded to full fibre (completely new line, cabling, ONT, and Cat5 to router) — issue still continues.

Examples (last 24 hrs):

17/08/2025 10:30 78.105.xxx.xxx Milton Keynes
18/08/2025 14:00 DNS request timed out
18/08/2025 14:30 90.213.xxx.xxx Hayes
19/08/2025 09:30 DNS request timed out
19/08/2025 09:40 90.211.xxx.xxx Milton Keynes
19/08/2025 10:00 DNS request timed out
19/08/2025 10:10 46.64.xxx.xxx Milton Keynes

Router stats (current):

  • System uptime: 01:52:07

  • WAN uptime: 01:49:23

  • Connection speed: Down 999900 kbps / Up 115000 kbps

Request:
Can you investigate why the connection keeps dropping and why my IP location keeps changing despite being on full fibre with new equipment?
