Broadband and Talk

BT Openreach installed new cabling in my road. They then wanted to come in and check the router and update cables to router and phone.

I was working and had a call so could not let them in to run tests and upgrade cables in my house.

Since then my broadband is constantly dropping out. The openreach engineer told me to contact my broadband provider who would come out and make the necessary checks and upgrades. BT Openreach came out on 2nd December to do this work and have had issues ever since.

I'd have to say that's very unusual.  Openreach has no involvement with ISP routers.
