Although openreach is dealing with it i would advise that you contact sky to get it logged in case its not fixed with in 2 working days

sky saying they are aware of the outage and are working to fix it

Broadband Outage HP4 no wifi

Checked my router and apparently there is an outage in my area. Do I have to report this or will I automatically get compensation if it's not fixed within 2 working days. This is incredibly annoying as you can't seem to get any updates as to when it will be fixed!

Down in HP2 too since 1am 03/09/2024. I got a text at 09:13 (after I went through troubleshooting on the router on my own) to say there is a known outage and another at 11:20 to say that engineers are working still to fix it. Just registering here my knowledge in case compensation is due.

You would need to call sky in order to make a subseqxent claim under automatic compensation

Down in WD5, went off line at some point between 2:11 and 2:16 am -> I have an app that saves certain data every 5 minutes, last save was 2:11am

It's down in HP4 too. Tried to contact Sky to report but kept going round in circles. Ridiculous. I work from home and need WiFi to do my job!

It's worth mentioning that Sky Broadband is a domestic service and there is no faster fix times for customers wfh. The two working days probably mentioned already in this thread is the standard  potential fix time provided b Openreach who claim to resolve 80%+ of issues in the timeframe.

Where connectivity is essential it's necessary to either use an ISP which offers automated failover to cellular data or have your own cellular hotspot available.  No Openreach ISP can possibly offer uninterrupted service over the national telecoms network: there are far too many single points of failure for that, including your local hardware, the cable into your own property and multiple locations upstream.

Not possible where you rely on your wifi to WFH in an area with no cellular reception! I'm in HP4 & now can't work & the teenage kids can't do their online homework. 2-3 days to fix this is not acceptable especially without actually knowing if anything is actually being done as it is impossible to get any clarity out of Sky.
