Broadband Activation

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am outraged by the poor service provided by SKY. The Broadband activation was scheduled for November 28th, and I am moving to this address on the 29th. This date is important because I need this service for remote work.

If this company doesn't meet deadlines for its customers, it should just sell candy. People have commitments; if they don't activate it on the scheduled date, they can cancel everything (SKY, A COMPANY WE CANNOT TRUST).

@Betocs
We are customers and this is a customer ➡️ customer discussion forum where we try to help other Sky customers. I’m afraid you aren’t communicating with Sky by posting on here.

So you're moving into the address the day after you're expecting the activation to take place. Is this a new activation/subscription because if so you presumably haven't been there to take delivery of the hub which is delivered by Royal Mail.

Openreach are responsible for activation which can happen at any time up til midnight if it happens on the day.

Sky broadband discussed here is a domestic service and whilst it's fine for customers to use it if they work from home, they won't get any extra or quicker support.

Re: Broadband Activation

@Betocs Glad to see you factored in the what if operation should the plan just not all fall in to place as you planned it all! Think you might have fallen short by a little as no ISP can give you that kind off guarantee the operation can/will take place! You can safely start the cancellation 12.01am 29th if sky fail to get you online by that time! Just seen you are a remote worker so you may have already taken care off the backup plan!

Re: Broadband Activation

@Betocs There is the 30 day's cool off period, no questions asked but be careful about how you do it all, you don't need a cancel cease applied to the install address were no one can do anything!
