Broadban lan slots

I am working from home sometimes and i could never get my phone connected to the broadband. After my technician at work gave me a new lan cable i understood that its my lan slots not working in the broadband.

the light doesnt come up green like the first lan slots that it already connected. 
do i need a new broadband?
