Have you check your areas status on the Sky Status page https://www.sky.com/help/servicestatus

And what's the point if this place?you just do nothing and dump the problem back on me?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThis is a customer to customer based forum you are speaking to fellow customers, not Sky. The community offers help on various topics but when it comes to physical broadband area faults we cannot do anything for you.
Like I said, if the fault is showing on your Sky Status checker then you can only wait for the problem to be fixed by Openreach. If it isn't showing I'd call and report it ASAP.
Also next time it would be nice if you posted without the attitude, members here post on their free time we are not paid or employed by Sky.

It's always worth you making Sky are aware of such outages so you can possibly get auto compensation. The below link explains the Ofcom agreed auto compensation scheme which Sky operates for when there is a TOTAL loss of Sky Broadband or Sky Talk.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/auto-compensation
If you have a total loss of service and it isn’t fixed after two full WORKING days from when you first report the fault to Sky, you will become eligible for it. It’s applied 30 days after the fault has been repaired and will come in the form of a credit appearing on your Sky account.

I'm also in Kildare town, briadband has been down since this morning, when I rang the customer care line earlier, they said it would be back up and running by 17:00

You won't get an update from Sky through this forum: realistically area outages are treated as a priority but still take as long as they take to resolve. I believe that Open Eir has the same working target as Openreach for a two working days fix on individual domestic contracts, but an issue affecting more than one address will get more resources.

I have had no broadband since this evening. I have tried to reboot but no joy. Is there any other technical broadband issue overall??
