Boosting wifi
Hi, I have a new work office at the end of the garden, I have sky broadband and have an Ethernet cable running from the router in the house to the end of the garden, I can connect the Ethernet cable to my laptop and the internet works fine but would want it from Wi-Fi so I can use other devices suck as iPad and Alexa, is there a way of connecting that Ethernet cable to another router or Wi-Fi box to have Wi-Fi?

Re: Boosting wifi
Best option is connecting a Sky booster to the end of it, however they are getting difficult to get standalone, especially with an ethernet cable.
The next best option is to purchase a WiFi access point and connect that instead

Re: Boosting wifi
Thanks for replying, I have read that a sky booster decreases the speed by 50%, is that try?

Re: Boosting wifi
No, especially not since it would be in a different building to your main router

Re: Boosting wifi
Sorry I don't understand, the main router is in the house and the office is at the end of the garden, so where would I be putting the booster? In the office or house?

Re: Boosting wifi
In the office, on the end of the ethernet cable, to act as a zero configuration wireless access point. For that you'd want a Sky booster model which matches your Sky Hub.
Note that Max Hub booster 'pods' are subscription-only.
