Awaiting installattion of Sky broadband
I've ordered broadband and Sky Stream and am waiting for the intallation of my fullfibre connection.
My Stream pucks have been delivered but not my wifi router. Is this brought by the enginner who instals the line, or can I expect it to be dleivered to me shortly? Does the engineer set up teh router or do I have to do that myself?
Thanks

Re: Awaiting installattion of Sky broadband
Usually the hub is delivered a few days before the activation date of your Sky broadband.
You can check in your MySky app or online under order tracking that will show you any expected delivery dates.

Have a read of this Sky help article about what to expect for your Sky broadband;
Sky Stream with two pucks (Former Sky Q and Sky+ customer), Sky Ultrafast + using Sky SR203 hub. Sky Protect kit tester.

Re: Awaiting installattion of Sky broadband
If you have a working broadband now, you can setup your pucks with your current broadband provider and router.
You can use any home broadband service with Sky Stream pucks, not just Sky broadband.
Once your Sky broadband is active, you can then change your pucks over to connect to your new Sky broadband and router.
As mentioned in the Sky Stream FAQ;
Streaming TV billing starts when you activate your Sky Stream puck* and any subscriptions are charged a month in advance.
*One to watch out for: If you don’t activate your Sky Stream puck within 21 days of delivery, your subscription and billing will start automatically.

Some important considerations for your Sky pucks on your local network:
Change all your pucks once setup to the following recommended settings, set in the Puck Settings>
Turn wifi OFF under Network if connected via ethernet.
Set Network standby mode to ON and Overnight power saving to OFF.

Re: Awaiting installattion of Sky broadband
Thanks for this.
I got a little confused because i think I was told on the pone when placing the orer that the engineer would only install the line from the telegraph pole to a smal box on teh outside of my house, but wouldn't need to come inside, which left me unclear aout eh installation of teh socket inside for teh equipment to plug into.
