Asus RT-AX58U in access point mode...

I've plugged my SR203 (FTTP 1Gbps SKy bband) directly into my Asus and put it into access point mode in order to improve wi-fi in house.  When I tried to turn off the SR203 wi-fi, the sky Q tv hubs won't stay connected to the new wi-fi network created by the Asus.  I've turned the back on for now - I need to keep the SR203 because of the landline (don't ask!)  If the two networks don't interfere I'm not too bothered - but wondered what I was doing wrong?

Plus - any other tips on settings for Asus in AP mode?

Cheers

Alex

Yes they certainly could co-exist if you'd prefer that setup. Just ensure that your Asus router operates on different WiFi channels for both 2.4ghz & 5ghz otherwise you'll get a load of connectivity problems. You can download a WiFi analyser app on your phone to see which channels your Sky kit is using.

Ideally you need to reset the network settings on all your Sky Q gear at one time then reconnect them to your Asus router while WiFi is switched off on the Sky router

Thanks for that - do you think they could just co-exist (I've got the Q hubs wi-fi hotspots turned off so I think it is just their mesh and I've not got another mesh set up?)
