Assign device to Sky Max pod

I recently upgraded my broadband to Sky Wifi Max with the new router, I use to have a router downstairs and a booster upstairs near window for signal strength to reach my home-office and ring spotlight camera outside in back garden. With that set-up Ring camera went from red (weak signal) to green ( very good).

When upgrading I was told I would not need a booster because the new Wifi Max hub is much better, well it is faster but signal is not. I now received the Sky Max Pod and connected exactly in same room, though no near window since it has no cable got to be on wall .

The Pod connects fine to the hub however no devices is connected to it and signal on ring camera is worse now back to being red. How can I force a device to connect to the sky max Pod?

I tried looking in Sky app, I can see both hub devices but no device is on my Sky max pod so it is basically useless for now and I wish I kept previous bundle.

@Daz2008 restart the device and it msy connect to the stronger signal. However given the camera is outside and the pod's signal will be blocked by tge same wall that msybe the problemm. The pods do not need to pug into a wall socket so using a trailing mains socket of the window ledge may not be neat but it should work.

Re: Assign device to Sky Max pod

Hi.

Does the MAX POD use the sane wifi name as the main SKY MAX HUB?

Is there any way to manually assign a device to the SKY MAX POD?

Re: Assign device to Sky Max pod

I'd like to know the responses here also.

You can apparently MAC filter on the router...

Re: Assign device to Sky Max pod

I am having the same problem. Please help. My work laptop is connected to the pod upstairs and I am on call for patients.
But my work desktop is downstairs where my main sky hub is placed.

Is there a way to assign my work laptop with the main sky hub only ?

Thanks

@ScoobySue71 yes they do  The assignment of devices is automatic there is no manual control. Thecsystem is best left to sort itself but it can take several hours to do so.
