Apple TV verification error

Hi all,

I had real issues trying to authentic my apple TV box over sky TV even though I was attached via ethernet. I tried rebooting etc but no luck.

In the end I had to use my phone (02) as a hotspot which worked.

Is there an issue with the sky router?

Sorry, but what do you mean highly unlikely? Whatever block, filter out etc I just could not authenticate my new Apple TV box on my broadband and just got a non-verification message. Once I turned off my home broadband, I connected using my phone as a hotspot with no issues. This tells me the Sky manged broadband is having an issue.

@CinderKona exactly what I said as the Sky hub does not filter traffic. Devices sometimes play up and will not connect so a reboot or switch of connection can clear the issue which is why the first line of any tech support script is turn it off and turn it back on. 

If there was an issue with your broadband it would affect other devices.

Yes I did all that. I work in IT and the issue was not on my side.
