Can I ask what the software version is for this patch? I'd like to know when this problem has been fixed to my hub. Also what's the completion date for the roll out of this patch.

@Stevie-C That is not the FW required, the one above that is the router FW.

For the Sky Q Hub.

Looks like we're still on 7.03.0400.R
WiFi extender was on unplugged a couple of days ago and it's still working

@Stevie-C Yes, still on the old version, as Kev said there will be a phased release over the next couple of weeks to the latest FW update for all routers, so does take some time. As/when my SR203 is updated i will post its latest so anyone checking the post can see the version. Hopefully no more issues with your apple devices...

@KevNewMedia thanks for sharing. Your website doesn't identify hub my model type, I have a sky broadband hub. Would that be hub 4.0? https://www.sky.com/help/articles/automatic-software-updates-for-sky-routers
Also, is there a way to manually trigger this firmware update? Assuming this has corrected the apple device connectivity issues.
thanks

@DavidReed There is no way to force or trigger the update, it will happen overnight as sky do phased release so can take some time before it happens, just ensure the hub is powered up.

Welcome to the Sky Community 😀
That's right, the Sky Broadband Hub is the Hub 4
As @JimM1 has said, there's no way to force hub updates - we're on a controlled roll-out - please keep your hub powered up over night, to pick it up when it's ready 👍

Hi @KevNewMedia ,
Thank you for all these updates.
Are you able to share the updated firmware files? (even privately if you don't want to share them publicly)
I'm interested by the Hub 4 firmware : 7.03.0509.R
As you correctly said, we can't trigger the update but we can use the Router upgrade functionality to update our Sky Hub software (http://192.168.0.1/sky_router_upgrade.html)
If this is not possible (I won't understand why) - are you able to ask a timeline to your tech guys for this controlled roll-out ? What is the planned end date for this roll-out? We are waiting for weeks, even months now and we need more precised information from your tech guys.
Thanks for your help!
Cheers,
Vincent (waiting for months now for my Homepods to work correctly!)

@Tidou There is no way for a specific user to get an updated FW version, As Kev and I have said,
it will be rolled out over the next few weeks phased drop, the only thing you have to do is keep your router powered. This normally happens early hours of the morning to cause least disrubtion to users.
You may be lucky and it happens tomorrow, you just never know.

@KevNewMedia I second @Tidou . A "few weeks" is an unacceptable time frame considering the issue has existed since a Nov 23 firmware update. With Sky being one of the UK's biggest and most "reliable" broadband providers an issue which affects the market leading device manufacture should be prioritised.
I'm sure Apple would be of the same opinion if they were aware of the scale of the issue affecting their products and the resulting burden on their customer services teams attempting to resolve connectivity issues which are not their issue. Not to consider how many products which have probably been returned by consumers because "they do not work".
Obviously this response is not aimed at your personally but rather Sky as an organisation. Please respond with exact roll out time frame for this software patch, not "over the next few weeks".

This problem has caused ENORMOUS issues for many people and companies other than Sky. I know a friend who just sold a bunch of Homepods because Apple couldn't resolve their failure, and he blamed Apple. It was his Sky router all along. I nearly sold mine last week until I heard about this thread. It's really poor that a fix is available but can't be rolled out quicker than this.

My Sky Hub 4 was updated to firmware version 7.03.0509.R last night. I can confirm it has resolved the issues I was also facing with my Apple Homepod Mini.
I was able to reconnect the Homepod to the Wifi network (after doing a factory reset) and connecting my home devices (I have a Matter over Thread setup).
