Appalling WiFi
I had BT broadband and the service I have to say was perfect with good speed to the house and over the WiFi. My wife and I work from home and we never had an issue.
We decided to move our broadband to Sky purely because BT were putting our price up and Sky offered a decent saving particularly as we have been a loyal customer for so many years with Sky TV and Sky Mobile. I rue that day to be honest.
My experience with Sky broadband has been nothing short of shocking. I work in IT and if another person asks me to reboot my Hub or check if cables are connected correctly I think I am likely to blow my lid.
I have told so many people what the issue is but they are simply not listening to me as your customer. Your standard Sky Hub is simply not good enough.....our devices constantly lose connection, Teams call quality is terrible and we have to switch cameras off to avoid video feed pixelating or freezing, sky boxes lose connectivity and have to be reset.
It's not the connection to the house because the service is delivered over the same cable.
Its not the speed because we took out a product that on paper provided the same speed that we were used to before.
Its not environmental because the router is in the same place as the BT router, nothing has changed.
Its not our devices because they are the same, nothing has changed.
Suggesting answers such as I could pay extra for faster broadband or pay extra for a different hub is simply not acceptable.
Saying I can't leave because I'm in contract is not acceptable.
Sky are not delivering a broadband service that is at an acceptable level to allow my wife and I to work effectively, there are only two options as I see them.
- provide better equipment for no extra cost because your existing equipment is simply not good enough
- allow me to leave my contract FOC rather than holding me to ransom
Would I recommend anyone moving to Sky Broadband? Absolutely not.

@MisterD04 What BT router were you using before the switch, and which sky Hub do you have now!

@MisterD04 I don't see why its unacceptable to suggest buying a 3rd party router, it would ineveitable be better than any ISP supplied router, and if you work in IT it would be more configurable to your needs.
Not being able to leave because your in contract is correct, Sky would only allow you to leave if they cannot meet the minimum speed guarantee and that does not apply to WiFi unless you are a Sky Max subscriber.
As for not providing a service that is an acceptable level for you and your wife to work from home, well thats none of Sky's concern unless you are a Sky Business broadband customer, any other service from Sky is purely for domestic use, so you have no grounds for complaint on that particular part of your post.
