Mobile phone has been working ok. Since yesterday it says I am connected to the internet with an excellent signal. I have no emails and cannot use the search engine. Only make calls. I can only get 4G with this phone not 5G. Is this phone now obsolete. My husband has a Samsung phone and is with Sky and his phone is working fine.

I have a VPN. I had to disconnect the VPN then reinstate it. This cleared the problem and the phone is working again, but I have bought another phone. I use my phone for so many things. The verdict - I did need to update my phone, the connection and speed is so improved.

Re: Android 12 Motorola
Android 12 was released in October 2021, so any phone using it is now pretty old by the standard of such things.
It's also quite possible that the handset hardware is older than the operating system

Re: Android 12 Motorola
Are you talking about connecting to the internet via your WiFi or using mobile data? If the latter, you may simply have a local mast issue. The phone certainly won't have become obsolete overnight. A mate of mine is still using a Samsung S7 from 2016!

Re: Android 12 Motorola
I have done both wifi and mobile date. None of it works. My husband's phone works and my laptop and TV's so the phone is the issue. Nothing has changed on it. I have checked the settings and they are good. Android 16 was out in December.

Re: Android 12 Motorola
The phone certainly shouldnt have just stopped working. You can try talking to Motorola support although I doubt you'll get much joy there. Other options would be to factory reset the device.

Re: Android 12 Motorola
Do any internet based services work such as email, Whatsapp/Facebook apps or Google Maps?
