Am I really running on Part Fibre?
So, I had Full Fibre installed last year. I've had no real issues with it, but I've just noticed that on my bill it says that I have the 'Sky Broadband Ultrafast 1' product.
But according to Sky's website that is described as 'Part Fibre', as opposed to a package like 'Full Fibre 150' which is, as the name suggests, described on the same page as 'Full Fibre'.
Am I just being dumb here or am I missing something? I have fibre running into my garage, so I assumed that I would be past the days of copper wiring?

Re: Am I really running on Part Fibre?
If you have a unit like this called the ONT then it is full-fibre otherwise it could be Gfast.

Re: Am I really running on Part Fibre?
Sky's old product naming put G.Fast (Enhanced part fibre) in the same name as the lowest Full Fibre tier. If you have fibre running into your home then you'll be on full fibre.

Re: Am I really running on Part Fibre?
Oh, I definitely have an ONT, so I know for a fact that there's fibre coming into the house, I was just a little broadsided by seeing the description of the product I have! Maybe that's what I had before I went full fibre and it's just a billing error. I'll have to look back at some of my old bills.
I was only looking as I wanted to compare speeds to some competitor's products as I'm coming to the end of contract so am sniffing around elsewhere.
I'll maybe try for some of those longs after work as my lunch break is coming to an end! 😂
Thanks for the replies.

Re: Am I really running on Part Fibre?
Ultrafast 1 can be delivered over either FTTP (through an ONT) or G.fast ('telephone' wall socket)
G.fast is approaching the end of its life as a broadband technology, and areas served are gradually being overbuilt by the national FTTP rollout. One clue would be if Sky offers any faster connection at your address, because that has to be optical.
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2

Re: Am I really running on Part Fibre?
Apologies for the delay - life just got in the way there a little.
As it happens, looking on the MySky app it states there I have 'Full Fibre 150', so I suspect this is just a billing anomaly.
