Am I eligible for automatic compensation for total broadband outage?

On Wednesday 5th June a car crashed into and badly damaged the BT Openreach cable box serving my area. Everyone lost their internet service and BT took over a week to repair the damage.

I did not bother to contact Sky as the reason for the outage was obvious and restoring the comnection was not within Sky's control. Was this a mistake? Am I still eligible for compensation?

@Salsera
It’s applied 30 days after the fault has been repaired and will come in the form of a credit appearing on your Sky account (new rates apply from 01/04/24 of £9.76 per day).

@Daniel0210 The compensation rules state it is automatically payable after  letting Sky know.

I didn't notify them, for the reason mentioned in my question.  So it looks like I don't qualify.

It does look like as you didn't report your loss of broadband then you might not qualify.
