Advice to Improve PS Portal Performance

Hello,

Looking for some advice/help to get good performance on a PS portal. As things stand, it's unuseable but I don't want to have sell it.

The PS5 is hardwired and set to 1080p.

Package is full fibre 150, never been great.

Don't mind spending a bit of money if it will improve the WiFi

Any help appreciated as I'm rubbish with broadband/wifi.

@Chrisa59 online gaming requires both sufficent bandwidth and a signal free from interference. In many homes a single Sky hub cannot give that in every room. The solution is to improve the WiFi by having multiple sources. Sky will sell you their WiFi Max bundle which privides up to 3 WiFi extenders see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max alternatively you can buy your own whole home wifi set up and use that with thecSky hub's wifi turned off which is my own solution.

Thanks for your advice.

I currently have Sky Q and a Sky Hub 4.2, is there a WiFi system you would recommend?

@Chrisa59

Your issue is Sky Q. Trying to use a PS portal over Sky Q wont be very fun because of the high latency & slower speeds.

You'd want to look at either the newer Sky mesh system or a 3rd party one, ideally WiFi 6.
