Evening,
I am hoping that some of the networking gurus in this community may be able to assist me with the set up of my ASUS RT-AX86U Pro (AX5700).
I have recently upgraded my fiber package to Sky Ultrafast Pro, after researching and looking through this forum, decided to go with the RT-AX86U router as a direct replacement for the standard black sky hub (with this being Fiber, I'm under the impression I can swap the Sky hub out directly for the ASUS one?).
The issue I am having is with the initial set up, none of my devices can be hardwired to the router during set up, this is being done via the ASUS Descovery Driver in another room making it frustrating to say the least.
Has anyone came across a step by step the initial set up, or willing to give me some pointers for the network settings as at this point I'm a bit stuck.
Thanks in advance,

Is client identifier (option 61) showing in the wan settings?
If so just type in
anything@skydsl|anything
This is best done via the asus web address 192.168.x.y after changing connection type to automatic ip

It is continually coming up with incorrect ISP user name / password.
Any idea where this is as it doesn't seem to be on the Openreach Box or Sky Hub?

Got it there, and online, thank you.
Are there any setting adjustments required to maximise the router output?
Only seem to be hitting around 240mbps on speed tests which is a bit lower than expected.

What QoS settings are on . If traditional QoS which limits bandwidth per lan device then switch QoS off or use the asus router and set it to adaptive. There you can prioritise gaming, streaming etc on the fly

Perfect thank you!
I'll have a play about with it, the router seems to be exceeding 500mbps, though on a speed test via a browser it's only suggesting half of this.
Main thing is it's connected, appreciated again.
