Re: 3 security cameras stoped working
As a first simple step, try turning off your router at the plug for 30 seconds or so, then see if your cameras re-connect.

Re: 3 security cameras stoped working
Do they not connect at all even when your at home or is it only when you are away from home?

Re: 3 security cameras stoped working
hi all, I've tried to connect them whilst they are right beside the router. I have bought a new camera at 5 MHz it connected immediately

Re: 3 security cameras stoped worki
@tonyfrancis many simple cameras cannot link to the dualband SSI`d thst modern routers offer. The old solution is to split the wifi bands so the hub offers two SSIDs one for each band. This can be done on the older black Sky hubs (see Split Sky WiFi bands) once done the settiing shouldnt change but if the hub is reset or occasionally on firmware updates the hub can return to its default settings and the split has to be done again.
With the newest white Sky Wifi Max Hubcannot split the bands so the solution is to turn off the 5GHz band using the My Sky app connect the cameras and then turn the 5GHz band back on and the cameras should stay networked which works in mostcircumstance but if theyvdrop off the network due to say a power issue you would have to repeat the process to reconnect them.
65inch Sky Glass, 3 Sky Streaming Pucks, Sky Ultrafast + and Sky SR213(white Wifi Max hub) main Wifi from 3 TP-Link Deco M4 units in access point mode

Tried this this morning cameras still wouldn't connect despite having turned off band 5ghz and left 2.4 on if anyone has another solution I'd love to hear it otherwise will have to buy a 5ghz compatible camera

Re: 3 security cameras stoped working
Sky should have a solution to this and be able to talk you through it but they can't. I have the same problem with my 3 igeek camera's. I think Sky is letting the side down by not providing solutions.

Re: 3 security cameras stoped working
If you turn off the 5GHz, can other devices still connect over 2.4GHz? If not, download a WiFi analyser & check that your router is still broadcasting over 2.4GHz as well as 5GHz.
If it is, I'd be inclined to factory reset the router.

Re: 3 security cameras stoped working
Thanks for the reply Tony.
I think I've tried just about everything so far. You can't isolate/turn off the 5Ghz and apparently even if you did, and you managed to set up the cameras, they would stop working again once you turned the5Ghz back on. It's supposed to be a syncronised system for both 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz but when you change syncronisation, or start messing with mixed mode the internet constantly goes down or you lose connectivety elsewhere, like from PC to printer.
I think the only way fwd is to get 5Ghz cameras and start a fresh. Trub is there's stuff on the cards that I need regarding a recent robery attempt and the Police want it but it's on the apex & so is the card, doh!!
Another day wasted chasing mist.

Re: 3 security cameras stoped working
What makes you think you can't turn off 5GHz? You can & once any device is connected, re-enabling 5GHz shouldn't make any difference. You may also need to reduce the security level from WPA3 to WPA2. Again this can be done in the app.
But I missed that you'd resurrected a year old thread, so the full story with you situation would help.
