We have the Sky Max Hub. I set different SSID and passwords for my 5GHZ and 2.4 GHz networks. I thought this was a great feature because some older devices and devices like plugs and bulbs only connect to 2.4GHz but can be tricky to setup whilst there's a 5GHz signal.
However, all my devices nowconnect to 2.4GHz first and only the 2.4 GHz network showing in Sky app. I can force them to connect to the 5GHz network but would prefer it to be the priority.
Also, the wi-fi signal is weak or intermittent in some rooms (we have a very small house).

@Gadgerz if you have the white Sky Max hub you shouldn't be able to split the WiFi bands as that breaks its WiFi6 signal. There have been reports of people being able to make changes using the web interface in the brief period before the hub is connected to the My Sky app but these are unsupported and can fail. The hub firmware controls what connects to what automatically there is no manual control.
In practice once connected while the 5GHz band is turned off most IOT devices stay connected oncecthe 5GHz signal is turned back on.
Given that restriction your post doesnt make much sense unless you have a black Sky hub where you can split bands and can manually connect to whichever band you want by giving each a different SSID see Split Sky WiFi bands

Hi @Chrisee,
thank you for your very quick and helpful answer. That is exactly what I have done. The day before my activation date I connected the white Sky Max hub but noticed it was already connected to the internet so set up the network. That is when I split the two networks.
Now I'm wondering how to fix it. I guess, I'll have to see if a factory reset is possible and sorts it out.

Trying to split ssid for a green feathers camera. The instructions depart from the screen now. I cannot edit once I go to that options. Any advice appreciated. regards Ianb

@IB511001 on the white hub any changes to the settings have to be made in the My Sky app. Find tge hub's advanced settings in product options temporarily disable the 5GHz band connect your camera and then turn the 5GHz band back on and the camera should stay attached.
