on my xbox under its network settings, sometimes it shows ipv6 & ipv4 are both working, but othertimes it shows only ipv4 is working.
I have reset my xbox and my router, but the problem still happens.

Perhaps ipv6 hasn't been implemented very well? or doesnt work well with xbox? I am interested to hear other peoples opinions on this.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@chris878 Sky fully support ip6 so any issues are likely to be on your xbox set up.
The only relevant setting on the hub is in Adavanced/LAN IP setup where you can disable IP6 LAN side. Lot of misunderstanding how IP6 operates but unless there is an unusual fault on your connection you should havecfull IP6 support.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@chris878 Sometimes it can depend on the game servers and what software they are running too, it's not necessarily the broadband connection or router. IPV6 does as @Chrisee said, operate differently from IPV4, so don't be misled by that 🤓

it is not the game server, it is on xbox under network status of my connection.
i did a ipv6 test and it says "Your DNS server (possibly run by your ISP) appears to have no access to the IPv6 Internet, or is not configured to use it. This may in the future restrict your ability to reach IPv6-only sites. [more info]"
Not sure what this means.
