I moved home and was due to FTTP installed on July 2nd. The engineer said he had started but then text me saying he ran out of time and will reschedule.
Open reach called today and said the next day is 29th July
I work from home and the £5 a day isnt going to cut it.
Trying to get through to a human at sky is quite the job.
I am shocked at how bad this is.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@joncurtis19 Unfortunately Open Reach are the ones delaying the install, working from home isn't relevant as you have signed up to a domestic broadband service and therefore you will only be entitled to the normal compensation offered as per Ofcom Rules https://www.ofcom.org.uk/phones-telecoms-and-internet/advice-for-consumers/costs-and-billing/automat...
In the meantime could you not look to get a 4G wifi device to tide you over?

I have connect my phone but I can't operate my babies bed as it is a wifi bed, I can't connect to watch TV or anything, I'm really unhappy that the engineer said he was too busy and now its 26 days time to connect a line. Can't they work evenings or something.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@joncurtis19 As already advised it is down to Openreach and unless it's an emergency I don't beleive they work "evenings or something"
I would recommend getting a 4G wifi device if there are thing you rely on. No one on the forum can bring forward the date you have been provided.
If you wish to raise a complaint then you need to follow these steps https://www.sky.com/help/articles/how-to-make-a-complaint#make-a-complaint-contact-us

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreUnfortunately Openreach is chronically short of fibre-trained installers, and it's not exactly something the pliers and jelly-crimp guys can be re-assigned to do.
