Correct details are listed if you click further, however on the main advertising page for the new iPad(2021) it says "5G Ready".
This is incorrect. The new basic iPad is still only 4G enabled.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Whiteadder What has this got to do with Sky Store? Sky Store is where people Rent or Buy Movies to Download, it has nothing to do with iPads listings.

Rude.
Where should I raise this issue then? I bought an iPad yesterday from "Sky" in their online "Store" and I noticed the have listed the wrong information.
You're welcome.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThe Sky Store is actually the place where we can rent and Buy films from Sky but no matter as the post has been moved to here now which is where all Sky Mobile (including iPads) discussions are.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI believe @Whiteadder that the issue isn't as black and white as saying the iPads do or don't support 5G. I don't know if Sky are saying they are 5G "ready" deliberately
Techradar wrote about this and this is a section from them on it
"Since the launch, it has been made clear in Apple's documentation that it won't feature the same 5G technology as the iPhone 13 or iPad Pro 2021
It won't support mmWave 5G, which is a common technology for high-speed internet in the US. It's less common in countries like the UK or Australia, but it nevertheless restricts the carriers you will be able to use this tablet with.
This won't mean you can't use 5G connectivity with the iPad mini, but it does restrict the technology it can use. It's especially an odd choice as Apple's other products support mmWave."

I think the latest iPad Mini does support 5G, according to this information from Apple:
It also specifically states the latest iPad doesn't. I was on the phone to Apple yesterday to and their support team confirmed the basic iPad doesn't support 5G.
I've heard 5G operates over a number of different frequency ranges right up to mm wave, but I don't know anything about devices being partially 5G operational. Maybe there is an deeper explanation that will become clear..
