charged for a call I didn't make

Hello all, this is very odd, apparently a call to the USA was made from my number, and obviously I was charged for it, not an expensive or long call, 39 seconds £1.75, but when I checked my call log onmy ohone, I never delete my calls, on that day I made no calls whatsoever!

@ETH182  You'll need to call Sky to disucss this as the forum doesn't now have account access

Give Sky a call via the free 150 number from your phone. Stay on the line for as long as you can and don't hangup when asked to do so or to go online. When asked why you are calling say technical.

Re: charged for a call I didn't make

I've been charged for a call to the speaking clock which, my wife nor I have definitely not made. I have contacted sky but their operatives are insisting that the call was made. I will not be renewing my contract. More or less telling me that I'm a liar. Not happy!

@dexterboy  It's hard to see how a call can appear on your bill without your knowledge

@dexterboy previous forum posts indicate that Openreach occasionally make calls to the speaking clock to test the line during maintenance or repair work (that you may not necessarily be aware of). If you consider the charge to be unreasonable,  you could raise it with Sky as a formal complaint (i.e. in writing).
