You are trying to call Sky UK rather than Sky Ireland. That number won't work from abroad.
You need 0 8 18 76 2 9 17

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThe 0333 number is for the rest of the UK, the number you need should be something like an 0818 which should be shown under "Need more help ?" at the bottom this page, make sure the flag in the bottom right is set to Ireland:

You need <snip>
People are supposed to use the link at the foot of the forum as the phone number given will differ depending on the person looking, you should not be posting phone numbers this is why the forum tries to block them!

I've seen this mentioned before Annie, but do we know why it gives out different numbers?
Don't all numbers end up in the same queue? Or, are different numbers routed to different call centre's (ie India or Scotland)
Personally, I have "the number" for Sky stored in my phone contacts (as I do for every company that I might need to ring), so would always ring the same number.

I cannot go into details
If you got the original number you stored from the one of the sky websites then it will be OK 🙂
