Many Thanks for reply but using the QR code just sends me to image 3 telling me I've been signed out of app..

Although my sky remote was disconnected, it looks like resetting the apps have cured the Apple TV+ problem, so thanks!

@MattWilliamsIT - this did work for me but I had a few squeaky moments 😅
After the reset my TV screen went blank and the SKY Q box appeared unresponsive. I waited a while but eventually switched it off at the mains then on again and it rebooted but stayed on standby 🤔
I had to press the button on the box to get it out of standby and pair the remote again to get that to work (https://www.sky.com/help/diagnostics/sky-q-remotes/touch-voice-set-up)
I also had to reset the Sky Q display output to Ultra HD (10 bit), it was back at 1024.
The rest of the process worked.
I was able to connect the Apple TV app to my Apple ID account
The Netflix app logged in without asking for me to reauthenticate.
I had to reconnect the Prime Video app to my account. I have not tried any other apps yet.
Phew.....thanks everyone 😁

I have got my Apple tv App up and running, again, on my main SkyQ box. I went throught the @Paulbods reset routine using the planner menu. I was sceptical this would work as it seemed the same as a reset you get by powering the box down and letting it reboot, which I had undertaken many times before.
After using the planner to reset the box, the remote control unit had to be reset to the box and the apps refreshed. Then the Apple TV app worked and took me to the sign in page.
However I had the same problem as @Paul964, sign in appeared fine and the sky box page came back as signed out and asked me to sign in again! This happened a second time after I went through a second reset routine with the sky box. Note I used both the QR code and web page sign in for these failed logins.
At the third attempt to sign in after resetting to @Paulbods routine, I used my wifes Apple id to log in, we have family sharing., success. After two hours it is still working, this is a stage I was at three days ago. The crunch will come after I log out of the apple app and try to log back in again.
I have not tried to log my mini box in with Apple tv, too much like hard work it hardly seems worth the trouble.
This is a poorly tested app. Be warned if you try to use it. I hope Sky read these comments. Lets see what happens over the next few days.

Did the reset thing had to pair remote and change the settings. Got stuck in the login /log off loop. So tried the wife's logon as suggested above. It seem to have worked. Cheers although it shouldn't be this hard.

Since Q180 a lot the apps have become unstable in terms of random cutouts, lip sync issues, sound dropouts(again). Fortunately I have and Apple TV 4K for these apps. The main Sky channels are fine.
Initially the ATV+ plus app worked fine but now it sticks on the splash ATV+ splash screen. As for the Discovery+ menu only app, well!
Yes, I've done the mains reboot and app refresh.
Not a problem for me since I have multiple devices that I access the apps without issue and can understand the frustrations illustrated here.
Sky Stream, Sky Glass, Panasonic DX902, Pioneer LX-901 7.1.4

We've followed all the advice, but are having the same problem. The mini box is fine, and my iphone, laptop and ipad all log on fine...but the Sky Q box just shows the logo and won't budge.
Neither Sky nor Apple seem to care.

I followed this process and it worked, albeit it took about 30 minutes. It is clearly a Sky software issue.

I have the same problem as everyone else here.
Initially I just had the Apple sign-in/you are signed out loop, so I refreshed the apps.
Then it was just stuck on the Apple TV loading screen for ever, despite rebooting the box.
I then followed the advise to reset settings, re-paired my remote, did a software update to restore the apps.
It now gets past the loading screen but am back to the sign-in/you are signed out loop.
Surely this means that all is not right with the app - signing into Apple TV on other devices is absolutely fine.

No, I don't regularly use any Apple devices - the only time I log in to watch anything (Foundation being the one thing I wanted to watch) is via web browser on a Windows laptop.
