Hi
I am at the end of my fixed term period with Sky. I was paying £99 per month and now it will rise to £135 per month. I used the online Chat to negotiate and (after 2 hours of endless to-ing and fro-ing) got an offer of £100 for 18 months but without the multi-room that I currently have. And of course there is the customary £20 "Admin" fee which always annoys me because there is no extra admin - it's just another way for Sky to get what amounts to an up-front £1.10 per month over the 18 month contract.
I can get the same channels via BT for £76 per month + £8/month to get Disney+ = £84/month so I gave notice to cancel Sky.
I would atually rather stay with Sky (better the devil you know) so my question is - am I likely to get a better offer from Sky or should I just go ahead and add BT TV to my broadband service? If it's likely I will get a good offer from Sky then I would hang fire and wait.
Any advice much appreciated.
Thanks
G

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIf you do cancel you might get come back offers via the post but what they might be I couldn't say so it really is up to you to decide what to do. If you do put notice into cancel you have 31 days to change your mind as there is how much notice you have to give to cancel the TV side of things.

Hi @Georgetrc I would call SKY and talk to an advisor to get a better subscription deal with the requirements you need, remind them that you will be out of contract, and could possibly change providers?

You can often get a better deal however it will usually be paired to a longer contract of 18months or more .

Update on this ...... I contacted Sky via chat and got an offer which was actually not too bad but I thought might get better. I did not accept but cancelled. A week before my notice expired I called the, and they offered the same deal. I still did not accept it. A couple of days later I called again and just got the same offer. They seemed happy to let me go.
