@bydandie wrote:Well I've just called them at the third attempt and now have an 18 month contract like for like for a £1 more than my already good deal with Q (all TV except Sports and Kids). 🙂
What were you paying on Q / what are you now paying on Stream?

@d2h was paying £51 but now cancelling as they didn't add a like for like (missed off UHD). Was happy to pay £52 but not £57 😞

Another positive thing - I like the add/remove package options on the MySky app - it's simple and looks like it should function well.
What's the process for removing things like UHD/HDR/Atmos? If I do it now does it cancel immediately or does it continue for the full 31 days, then doesn't auto-renew for the following month?

It does the latter. I cancelled Netflix Premium but I still have it until 4th November.

Perfect - thanks.

Set up both pucks today and all working well so far - impressed with picture qualify and speed seems ok but we are on ftttp broadband - got the stream in 2 rooms with ultimate and all sky sports for Same price as I was paying for q and £10 less then advertised but maybe as a vip customer it was bit cheaper.
just wondering whether we could link the old q remote to the pick and have a remote each ?
so far I think we will keep stream on first impressions

Will stick with the puck remote then in that case 👍

After reading the various posts on here about some of you being able to get stream during its soft launch period I thought I'd give Sky another call (tried a few times already without success!) to see if I could get any further information on it.
I finally got someone in sales who could actually help & after a very lengthy discussion I was offered the following:
4 x pucks with upfront cost of £99.90
1st was free, 2nd £20 3rd & 4th £39.95 each
Sky Entertainment £26
Kids £5
Cinema £11
Netflix Premium £8
Whole Home £10
£60 p/m total cost on 31 day contract
Only thing that appears to have been missed is the UHD/Atmos add on at £5 to give me a like for like package.
My Q contract is coming to an end shortly as are the offers I currently have so by December my current Q subscription would increase to £78 so I'd be saving by switching to stream if the offers are correct.

Sadly you're both correct and the salesman at sky apologised.
I'm not paying £43 given that I can get all the sports channels via now TV for £25.

I must admit the on demand is a pain - simply because it only picks them up via apps not the live streams.
Sky News does record as such in the same way as a PVR but BBC and ITV do not.

Well i was thinking of switching from Q to stream i am not so sure now after reading this. Was kinda hoping it was going to be more like the Q experience but over wifi . Like we all wanted. Hope to read a few more positive reviews from people that have switched.

Until they sell a streaming box with a hard drive it won't get close to the Q time shifting functionality

Like the BT TV Box Pro that is a streaming box that can record up to 600 hours of TV on up to four channels at the same time.
