Re: Who's switching from Q to Stream?
In the last 12 months there has been no huge leap forward, you'll find stream very similar to Glass back then. If you couldn't get on with it then it is highly unlikely you will now.
There is no benefit to switch from Q to stream it's just different but not necessarily better.

I understand that feeling up to you of course will just say if you prefer more stability and recording then Sky Q might be better to stay on,

I did try Glass along with my wife over a year ago, she didn't like it at all so I agreed to send it back, I suppose we could try Stream for a short time to see if it's improved over the last year, we didn't really give Glass much of a chance.
@Steve93 Note that if you're in contract with Q you can only take stream on an 18 month contract and can only return it within the standard 31 day returns window

There are some benefits of stream over Q.
Firstly all the pucks are UHD/HDR capable, unlike Q minis which are HD only.
Second all channels are HD as standard.
But playlist is no substitute for recording and if the internet goes out you can't watch anything.

Agreed and you forgot you can have on 31 day contract
Although typically for sky, they've made that a mess too as you have to give a month's notice, rather than any day before the renewal date like every other streaming service on the planet

Re: Who's switching from Q to Stream?
Thanks for the thoughts, I guess it's up to me,
also if we didn't like Stream & went back to Q, we'd have to go back on another 18 month contract at present mine ends Jun'23

Also I believe it's a superior picture on Stream compared to Q

giving the puck and the system a thorough testing😂Tee hee. I haven't got the patience...
Just gonna buy a new Apple TV 4K instead. Which was conveniently announced today!
Just done the same thing! Cancelled stream, the hardware is just too slow and underpowered compared to the ATV, will stick with that and NOW.

NOW is a solid option for many indeed who only want Sky Branded Channels.
Yes after using it for a week, I found I wasn't watching any of the non Sky branded channels except Freeview ones which I have access to already.

@Ed.B. One "plus" you are missing (and in my view a major one) is you don't have to rely on Sky Q's useless mesh system as Sky Stream uses your home wifi.

Re: Who's switching from Q to Stream?
According to his wife, my mate stamped on one of his mini boxes that wasn't providing WiFi, shouting 'Boost that you cant!'
Then he sent it back to sky, bent, claiming technical failure

Re: Who's switching from Q to Stream?
So what's going on here then?
The PGA tour golf is now showing in my playlist as 'recorded', and the last eight broadcasts are available.
Despite what this forum says about cloud recording not being a thing, why would it say 'recorded' if this weren't an individual file against my account.
So whilst this means that the golf is definitely there for me to watch, which is never guaranteed with sports in your playlist, there's no way to delete individual episodes. So at the moment I have to scroll through seven episodes to get to the latest, and how long will these 'recordings' last? I could end up with dozens...
