If you’re already under contract with Sky Q, you can’t, unfortunately, break the contract and switch to Sky Stream’s 31-day rolling contract.
However, Sky Q customers who are currently in an 18-month contract can opt to start a new 18-month contract with Stream, in place of their Sky Q contract.

Clearly not the case as a few posts up you'll see that @McMucker had 15 months remaining on his Q contract and switched to a 31 day rolling contract on Stream.
It's the usual chaotic organisation of Sky's subscription systems which clearly aren't ready yet.

@McMucker was possibly on Sky's VIP customer list who get all the good offers and early access to products before release.

Nope. Anyone can currently ring up Sky or go into a Sky shop and get a puck. The VIP thing is a marketing gimmick. It creates the illusion that you are somehow better than others, but you're not.
Offers are open to everyone - it's just dependent on who you speak to and how generous they're feeling. Other customers have been given different deals, some pay more, some pay less, just like on Q.

@J+Kirkman It seems like they are having a lot of trouble with the pricing / package at the moment. I think this is due to only having trianing 1 day before the announcement (or so I'm told by the rep)
I've checked on my account and I dont see any information about an 18 month contract and it looks like I can remove all services. I think it really depends on who you talk to and the trianing they've had, perhaps I was just lucky.
I'm sure others on this forum can confirm what package they have signed up for.

I am lookng into getting sky stream and at the moment i have sky+hd and i am banging my head against a brick wall i have spoken to my local sky outlet and they said i had no upgrade path from sky+hd but would be able to sell me sky Q "his words" but did say they are selling sky stream.
Also spoke to sky sales and no help there and told me to contact customer services but it seams to be not to be the the right number.
So i am at a loss to how to upgrade/change to this product.
So any advise to us older loyal members on how to move on to sky stream soon.
Any help is greatly appicated on my next steps.
Many thanks.

The official launch date is not until the 18th of this month. Before then it's hit-and-miss if you can order during the 'soft launch' period: some posters were able to do so through a Sky retail store.

Well my 2 pucks turned up early, so easy to set up. Both pucks haven't missed a heartbeat up to now, mind having BT FTTP no doubt helps. I'm going to watch the footie in 4k/HDR tonight, if the quality is the same as BT Ultimate I'll be chuffed.
Overall I'm impressed so far.

Oh I agree they were very easy to set up bar it seeming there was a backend issue with the activation of my account but since then been flawless.

Just curious as the setup fee for one puck is £39.99 rolling month/ £20.00 18 months; I assume that for two or even three pucks that setup fee will be applied to each one of them. Basically what I'm asking you is: how much did you have to pay for two pucks in setup fees, please ?

Thank you ! 😄
So for my three pucks I'll have a setup fee of £40 for 18months then, that's cool 😄

You can have stream for upto 31 days before you lose Q. You will not have Q while stream us active
But so long as you cancel Stream within the first 31 days you can roll back to Q on your existing contract on your current terms
If you leave it longer than 31 days the only way to get Q back would be to cancel your stream account completely and a brand new one would have to be set up at your address but you would then count as a new customer.

Yes, I have
Did the deal last Friday & the pucks arrived on Saturday (my Q subs didnt expire until February 2023)
Approx £10-15 per month cheaper for me on the rolling 31 days contract - taken the Home package (in other words 2 pucks)
So far, so good

Just to confirm if you are in contract with SKY for SKY Q you will be transferred to a 31 day rolling contract. I had 15 months left of my SKY Q contract and have been switched to a rolling contract. I like this as can now leave when I want sooner or later do to money issues. So one month of painfor me equals SKY subs being cancelled quicker then if i remained on Q
