Re: Who's switching from Q to Stream?

Hey guys made the jump from BT TV, mainly for the sport in UHD. Ordered yesterday morning and received my puck within 24 hours, just in time to see my team on TV this lunchtime! So far loving Stream, the UI is fast, no issues using WiFi or Ethernet, picture is great on my TV, a few quality issues in UHD but not during the game, loving voice control, Playlist is confusing, added sport events only for them to disappear after broadcast. May take some time to get used to it and hopefully will improve in the future. So far very happy

My biggest issue ATM is that I 'm interested in Switching to Sky Stream from Sky Q but when I click on Buy (whilst logged into my account) it takes me to an "Ineligble" page and trys to flog me Sky Glass instead!!

@Panman1964

If you ring up Sky they will sort you a contract out for Sky Stream.

You'll find playlist isn't fit for purpose as a replacement for a hard disk to record sport. It's seemingly random whether and whenever broadcasts appear in your playlist. It works great for regular TV though

If you are under a current q contract then the only option is to call sky to arrange stream. New sky customers can order online

if you are still under a q contract then the only option you have is to sign up to stream for an 18 month contract. 31 day rolling contracts are only available to new  customers and out of contract q users

Thanks @Jporch316

My fustration is  being redirected to buy Sky Glass.

From a UI and user/customer perspective it would be better to be  redirected to a page with the phone number on with a message along the lines of " We're sorry but we cant upgrade/chnage your package online at the moment . Please call customer services on <Insert Number>"

On the MySkyApp you will find Sky's number easily.

Re: Who's switching from Q to Stream?

@CardiffMan1992  Oh it's not a problem finding the number but as someone who designs UIs as part of his job the way this is presented is "poor" 🙂

It used to be allowed a few weeks ago - I guess they thought the quickest  easiest fix was to "break" the website

Re: Who's switching from Q to Stream?

@leemcqueen4270

It was very straight forward for me to switch back to Q as I was still in my 30 day cooling off period, and i still had my Q boxes. Just agreed a new 18 month contract on a better deal than I was offered previously.

Wife is much happier with it already

Re: Who's switching from Q to Stream?

We don't watch Sport, is Stream good for downloading other programs? Ie, Chase, Poinless etc.

if you are watching Pointless will the next one carry on, it won't be one from months ago!
