@John+lyon+flowers the apps are in HD - there is a setting in iPlayer to allow UHD where the material allows - ITV hub is in its death throws and should be replaced any day by ITVX which should also be in HD and UHD. All4 is also in HD AFAIK as it uses a different server than the app on other platforms.

Re: Who's switching from Q to Stream?

Kept quiet to read what everyone else has to say.  Still on the fence with this, I got rid of glass because of the awful hardware, but am tempted to dip the toe back in with Stream, with the feeling that if it's rubbish I can stop using it (not having to go buy a new tv like before).

I've been tempted to call a dozen times now but something is holding me back I can't quite put my finger on it.....

Re: Who's switching from Q to Stream?

Well @techman9 you're in a position to know exactly what you'll be getting as the UI is shared with glass.

Aside from the hardware, did you have any issues using Glass?

@techman9

On the plus side other users have reported that it remembers your playlist when you go back .......

Re: Who's switching from Q to Stream?

@Ed.B.   I loved the interface that's why I went for glass.

The constant **bleep** that came with it was another story, they regular unplug from wall and back on, netflix crashes where glass couldn't recover and the substandard hardware drove me insaine, I stuck with it for over 6 months but admitted defeat in the end and sent it back, best thing I ever did got a nice OLED tv now that's fantastic.

I did like the experience though (when it worked) having everything in one place, suggestions etc...  Since I have left glass I keep "Missing" things, I have tried to recreate the enviroment with the new TV / apple tv box but it's not quite the same.

So maybe I will go for it who knows!

Re: Who's switching from Q to Stream?

I'm pretty sure I'm going to give it a try and was offered ultimate pack and sports for £43 a month.

I can't decide whether to go for it now or wait in case there are black Friday offers.

Re: Who's switching from Q to Stream?

It's that soft a launch that this is the first I've heard of it, I suppose the silver lining is that you're not subjected to the hardware issues of a Glass TV 😉

Given the continuing problems after 18 months (?)  of Glass I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.

Which particular problems are you referring to @Anonymous?
