ITV are making some major improvements that allow both of the local news programmes they make for ITV News West Country to broadcast in HD on satellite and cable. Read more about the changes here https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Sky-TV/ITV-SD-closes-on-13-April/ba-p/3661715
From 13 April, ITV SD closes in Anglia East, Meridian South, Yorkshire West, Westcountry, Tyne Tees, West and Central East. These regions are currently all available in HD.
If you’re not a HD customer, the ITV SD services will be replaced by larger SD regions at 103. UTV+1 is replaced by ITV+1 Granada in Northern Ireland.
If you have a HD box, ITV HD is available at 103 in Anglia East, Anglia West, Border England, Central East, Central West, Granada, London, Meridian East, Meridian North, Meridian South, Tyne Tees, Wales, West, Westcountry, Yorkshire East, Yorkshire West and UTV.
But don’t worry, after the changes, you’ll still be able to record all your favourite programmes on ITV following these few simple steps:
- Just go to your Sky planner from 13 April 2021 and delete any planned recordings you have set on ITV SD, if you live in any of the above regions, and on UTV+1 if you live in Northern Ireland.
- Then, re-select what you want to record from in the TV Guide (including any series links). All the closing SD regions are already available at 103 in HD if you have an HD box.
