Upgrade Subscription Message when trying to download
Hi, I am trying to download episodes of 'Smother' on Alibi. I have the Entertainment package which includes this channel (as far as I am aware) but when I try to download I get a message saying ' upgrade subscription'. I do not have HD but even when I change the download to SD I still get the same message. I am confused 😕. Can anyone help.

Hi @hibees4185
Try changing the Default download format as below.
Sky Signature includes BoxSets and Entertainment channels only in SD as standard.
Only free to air channels such as BBC, ITV etc are in HD. The Q HD pack is required for all other Sky Signature HD content, including Catch Up in HD, On Demand in HD and BoxSets in HD
If you do not have the Optional HD pack you need to change the Download to SD in All Formats.
So that you do not need to do this every time it’s best to change your Download preference to SD in Home - Settings - Setup - Preferences.
Then if you want to download any HD content from free to air channels (BBCHD ,ITVHD etc) you can select HD in the All formats tab of the content . This will change the format for that particular download only but still leave your format to SD in preferences.

hi @hibees4185 yes entertainment does include Alibi.
I am not the best at telling which download falls into which category but I suspect that Smother comes under Box Sets rather than Catch up.
With Entertainment base package, Box sets is an add on - do you have box sets ?

I don't have box sets. When I select upgrade subscription it takes me to SKY Signature. No idea if that's relevant or not.

It is possible that SKY Box sets is no longer available to add to Entertainment.
Many upgrades now seem to insist on a change over to the new 'Base' package - Signature
Entertainment was superceded by Signature a while ago now
Box Sets are included as standard (in SD) in SKY Signature
It does all depend on your various packages - I already had box sets amongst others - I actually saved on changing over to Signature (but I think part of that was the reduction by not needing Box sets as an add on)

Just upgraded to SKY Signature (no extra cost apparently). Programme now downloaded 🥳. Thanks everyone!
