Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
yes its the playlist on the initial home page that is the problem for me also. However people are telling me on here that this is the play now rail? hence more confusion. Why label it playlist if its the play now rail? However it is duplicated on the correctly labelled play now rail on the next screen.

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
you have to click on play list to see your play now bar. I've explained in my last reply the difference between the 2

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
the only place that has only stuff that I have personally added is the tv shows and movies rails above the actual play now rail.

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
@MichaeWlG Have you actually tried using Sky Glass properly and add something to your playlist? As you are watching Lingo every day Sky Glass thinks you want it to be in the Play Now Rail and therefore it obviously won't drop off the rail.
Yes we all know that many of us want the ability to hide/remove stuff from the Play Now rail but alas that fuctionality isn't there yet.
At some point the Play Now Rail has also been added as a row inside the Playlist screen (which probably explains how many of us are getting our wires crossed!) - and based on your post at https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Sky-Glass/Unable-to-remove-item-from-playlist/m-p/3907472#M36043 you have nothing else on your playlist so would expect to see the Play Now Rail as the top row inside Playlist View All.
There is a possibility you've encountered another bug where with nothing else in the TV Shows Playlist it's showing the contents of the Play Now rail, or one show from your play now rail! If it keeps vanishing and coming back it adds to that theory. I doubt many of us have empty Playlists which might be why you are the only one seeing it!

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
Excuse me @Kevjs do you think I am some sort or moron? How do you think LINGO got added to my Playlist in the first instance? I ADDED it there in ERROR by pressing the poxy red button with a large plus sign + on the Glass remote, as at that TIME, I did not know what that button was for...... Also I DO NOT WATCH LINGO every day or EVER. The only aspects of that poxy programme I see are the bits where I am forced to FFWD it to its end, in the HOPE it will NEVER come BACK. Do you UNDERSTAND that?
This is interesting, PINNED at the top of Sky Glass DISCUSSIONS is this gem. It's almost an admission that SKY expects their Glass system to FAIL in some of its aspects, else why pin it there? It resolves nothing btw, as I have been through that process twice...

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
@MichaeWlG I don't know about you but it's become a mission for me to get rid of Around The World In 80 Days now which I'm having similar issues to your Lingo problem. I might have to see if it just drops off once the series has ended although I don't hold out much hope as it's on BBC iPlayer. I'll probably end up watch it all as it's there 😖

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
I have the same problem @JanTK with Around The World in 80 Days - watched fully but the last episode refuses to drop off (everything else on iPlayer has been fine) - also Girls5Eva on Peacock - the last episode won't disappear despite having been watched

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
No, I don't think you are a Moron. The very act of loading a programme and fast forwarding to the end makes any streaming service think you are watching it (indeed it's something I've done on Prime Video & Netflix to mark shows as watched - they also appear in Netflix's Continue Watching bar if you do that as I'd expect). It's little surprise that by watching even part of it every day keeps, a show which is broadcast every day keeps returning to the play now rail. Hardly surprising everyone doing this to empty the Play Now Rail sees it reappear when the next episode is broadcast, but they assume a bit of tempoary respite as it vanishes because they've fully caught up and therefore it has no reason to be in the Play Now Rail.
Undoubtly there are bugs where some shows don't vanish either - e.g. Around the world In 80 days not disappearing from my Play Now rail when I finished, but ignoring it meant it slowly drifted towards the end of my Play Now Rail and finally vanished this week; Shetland (which was added by the iPlayer autoplaying after watching a different show!) was also stuck on my Play Now for a while, and jumped to the front as new episodes broadcast. But by ignoring it, and watching other stuff on demand it finally vanished as you'd expect for the current design.
From what you have described (particularly in the post full of pictures which showed an otherwise empty playlist) there might be a bug where nothing in your playlist means the Play Now Rail items appear where your playlist should be, if your playlist is empty and therefore Lingo isn't actually in your playlist but just looks like it is.
Simple question - if you add a show you actually want to watch to your playlist does Lingo disappear from the TV Shows row of the Playlist View All, while still being shown underneath in the Play Now rail? If so that goes some way towards confiring that hypothesis. If not you may be very unlucky and have hit the exact same issue I have where one show (Inside Chrnobyl with Ben Fogel) on my Playlist can't be removed either - if you add it it moves to the front of the playlist, and when you remove it drops towards where it was originally added. All other shows vanish. By ignoring it it meant it eventually fell off the Play Now rail. Looks like you have to watch (on demand)/add 20 other series to your playlist to finally push something off the end of the play now rail.
Based on the screenshots you've provided you are either watching nothing, or only programmes as they are shown on TV Channels (without using watch from start), or possibly watching only Films to the end; but not any on demand TV (Except perhaps for Disney+ which never seems to show on the Play Now Rail). which is a little unusual for the way Sky Glass has been designed and could go some way to explaining why your experience is at odds to everyone elses.
We've no control of the Play Now rail, and all we can hope for is that Sky mimic Netflix, Prime, and All 4 which allow you to remove stuff from it - and that the other glitches with it are also resolved.

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
@Kevjs Thank you for that info, it makes a whole lot of sense. It never occurred to me that continually ffwding would instigate the algorithm to keep the program in the playlist ☺️

Re: Unable to remove item from playlist
Can anyone tell me how to switch off notifications for this and other feeds? I get an email every time there is a reply on the many issues I have been following in the desperate hope for some resolution but have now resigned myself to the fact that sky glass is currently total garbage so I'll have to just live with it for a while.
