Unable to remove item from playlist

After 3pm GMT update, so far so good, LINGO is NOT back in my Playlist, it remains EMPTY. Let's wait until Saturday evening when The Wheel comes on, as that also has a habit of finding its way back into my Playlist without my permission !

So in order for me to REMOVE an UNWANTED program from my Playlist, I had to go back and forth between Menus and Rails, find the offending program, ADD it when found. Then go back to my Playlist, check if it's there, then return back to where I ADDED it, and REMOVE it from there. BUT, before I could do this, I had to FFWD the last episode of LINGO in my Play now rail and pray it was gone...as that "fix" doesn't always work...

Not quite how Sky promoted their Glass TV Playlist feature in their videos.....

Hopefully when Lingo reaches the ITV hub it doesn't reappear as it does for me.

I'm having the same issue with programs I started watching but didn't continue watching stuck in my Playlist. They are both BBC programs and are listed as iPlayer episodes. I've tried the fast forwarding till they end a number of times but it doesn't work. They are also not showing under TV Shows in the View All section of Playlist so I don't have the option of removing series (although I have been successful in doing this with other programs. It seems that anything briefly watched on a catch up or on demand service is where the problems start 🙄

Unbelievable, pigging LINGO is BACK in my Playlist at 4:05pm?? I give up I really do.....why does SKY keep adding programs I do not WANT back into its Playlist??Oh no.......not again...

My experience is that to remove these programmes from the Playlist you have to first access them from outside the Playlist. 

Locate the programme through the search/voice function rather than through the Playlist, then remove it. 

That worked for me.

It'll be down to the ITV hub making it available thus linking every episode into play now.  @MichaeWlG 

No matter how many times Iv searched it using text/voice added, removed it doesn't clear it as the link was made to the play now rail.

@Jayboy1990 is there a way to remove the ITV Hub app from the Sky Apps rail? I am NOT going through this ridiculous process every SINGLE DAY....

I've spoken to a very helpful tech guy at Sky over the last week as I have issues with audio/video sync on my TV linked to my Puck and I mentioned all the things I didn't like about the Glass service. He did say the Sky are aware of the complaints that Glass customers were posting and that they are continuously rolling out software updates that will hopefully fix the issues we have with Glass. So I'm hanging out for the latest update that they started rolling out in January 🤞

No there is t a way to do that. 

What you can do is just ignore lingo, stop interacting with it and it's will eventually move along to the end of the play now rail and drop off. That's the best we have for now

Yeah, I've been told that UMPTEEN times since last November @JanTK ..there has only been ONE software update I am aware of since I bought Sky Glass on the 25th of October 2021...and that has not resolved any of my Playlist issues....

@MichaeWlG  yay, I look forward to months of frustration 😳 it's a real shame cos the concept is great. But then I guess we are all the Guinea pigs 🙄 my audio sync problems are apparently uncommon which doesn't make me feel any better. I just have to keep changing the picture resolution every time I switch the tv and puck on. But that is way more easy to deal with than the frustration of progs stuck in the playlist. I am not going back to Sky Q though whatever happens lol.

Re. Software updates. 

Ignore anything you are told, sky have been promising updates for a month now and only when it hits your tv can you say an update is released. 

I would guess they have taken the decision to include much more in the next release rather than fix only what went wrong in the pre Christmas roll backed version.

@Mark-BrITV's LINGO update:- I did as always manage to remove LINGO by FFWD its last episode to its end yesterday, BUT, as per usual it's BACK the next day at 4pm GMT folks. Nothing but nothing I do removes this program permanently; it ALWAYS comes back the next day. Will you people at Sky please UPDATE your software and give your PAYING customers CONTROL over what THEY want. I do not want my life controlled by some stupid algorithm that "ASSUMES", because I added some TV program to the Glass Playlist, I want to watch every single bloody episode Ad Infinitum.... For those who remember, the text in bold above is spoken in the style and manner of Victor Meldrew...☹️ *** Footnote...I feel I am becoming like LINGO, always reappearing at 4pm every day ***

@MichaeWlG I attempted to remove the 2 iPlayer series from my Playlist today. FFwd to about 1 to 2 mins from the end of each episode, then let the countdown to the next episode play, skip the recap and then repeat the process again. It worked for A Very British Scandal, but not for Around The World In 80 Days which I started watching when I had Sky Q. The episode I started watching then is what I'm stuck on, despite trying everything to remove, the red play bar is stuck and won't budge. I'll try it again at some point. I feel like it's taunting me to watch the whole season 😳😂
