Two voice remotes on one box?

Just double checking there have been no advancements in Sky boxes or remotes to allow two voice remotes to be connected?

The better 3/4rs has got used to it now and has nicked the voice remote, so i'm back to multitapping searches or switching it and getting the wrath of Mrs MO when she notices.

1st world problems I know.

SkyQ 2TB 2160P - 10Bit - Samsung UE65Q90R

No just one voice remote per box.

Re: Two voice remotes on one box?

Hi all. I dont want to start a new thread because I know this has been covered before. but I couldn't quite seem to find a definirive answer. So while I understand that you can only have one voice controlled remote linked to a box via bluetooth., am i right in saying I can purchasse a legitimate, second identical voice controlled one and then successfully pair it without voice control via infra red?

If the above is correct, can someone be kind enough to walk me through the proceedure of adding a second remote to the main box please?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi @Tuckbox   Very simple, pair the one you want to use as IR and no voice remote first, then hold down 4 & 6 until the led flashes 4 times. Pair the full function remote second.

Thankyou. So I would have to unpair the currently bluetooth paired voice controlled remote first and then re-pair it after pairing the infrared one?

No you shoulldn't need to unpair the curent bluetooth one as SKY effectively replaces the previous one with the latest when pairing bluetooth remotes (That's why @MightyQuinn says pair the one you plan to reset as IR first so it is paireed with your TV)

Hi @Tuckbox   No need to unpair anything, pairing a remote takes over the pairing. However holding down 4 & 6 turns Bluetooth off so TV control remains when you pair the full function remote.
