Trying to add my wife sky.com email to my new laptop using Outlook on Win11

I am tryng to add my wife sky.com email to my new laptop using Outlook on Win11

I have added my old hotmail account ok and my sky/com email account with no problem by using the app password.

The app password just does not work with my wife email?

As a work around I was also trying to change my wife email password to see if I can manually add it another way but I cannot see anywhere to do this?

We still have my wife sky email on my old laptopn amd mobiles so we know it is still working?

Any ideas how to work around this problem and get her email on my new laptop?

Thanks in advance

When you come to generating the 16 digit password for your wife's email account are you logged in using her details ?

If your wife logs in here: https://www.sky.com/myaccount/my-details, there is a link to reset the password. (it's the same link as this: https://skyid.sky.com/resetpassword/email)

And if you scroll down to Sky Yahoo Mail access and use the link therein to generate the app password, you can be sure it's for the correct account.

I'm a bit confused as to why you would have to do that?

Me too, is it because I have both emails under one sky account?

I managed to add them to my previous laptop Outlook but the Win11 laptop is a pain

This is where you are going wrong - you don't need to login to your wife's email account, you need to login to this link using her details:

https://www.sky.com/sky-yahoo-mail/manage-apps?client=email

Once you have generated the 16 digit password you are use it with Outlook with her email account.

You are misunderstanding how Sky email works. The two accounts are completely separate, you can not administer her account whilst logged in as you.

Only she (or you logged in as her) can administer her account.

Follow my previous post, but only be logged in as her. It may be easier if you use a different browser that you have not logged in on before.

I assume that is you @Kevin+sky, but you are now logged into your wife's account, so it posted as her. LOL
