Trying to access The Cloud Wi-Fi Service

Hi

I'm a fairly new Sky customer and trying to use 'The Cloud' free Wi-Fi service.

I understand that, in order to register for the service and add 'linked devices', you need to go to the site http://service.thecloud.net and register from here.

Indeed, from the sky.com > Help pages...

...and yet this page seems to be unavailable - and has been for at least a few days (possibly longer)!

I'm just wondering if anyone is having issues registering with 'The Cloud' service?

Thanks

Update: The link http://service.thecloud.net/ is no longer in use and will be removed from the Sky Help article Sky WiFi - Connection issues asap.

@Claire0205 may I ask if you've gone through the steps under 'Connecting to The Cloud to access Sky WiFi' before trying that link?

Hi @Claire0205  you have to be at a venue that has cloud WiFi available, often pubs/coffee shops etc. Have you ensured you are at a Cloud venue ?

Re: Trying to access The Cloud Wi-Fi Service

The last time I was at an establishment trying to register an account I simply gave up. It required such a strong password and it became clear after many attempts it would be a password I could never remember.

I left it for later when at home where I would be under less pressure to create an account. How wrong was I that this was possible. Why does Sky make everything so difficult.

The idea that I can only register an account at an establishment with a unreliable Cloud wifi connection is woeful.
