The Gilded Age in UHD
The Gilded Age is being advertised as available in UHD on Sky. Literally prime time ads on TV selling it as such. I can't find it anywhere. This is really frustrating as I'm paying for this UHD facility based on this kind of promotion. What's going on and what can be done?

That's an HBO show and they tend not to be very forthcoming with their content in UHD. Often they hold it back to make money from 4K BluRay sales. Sky have probably started advertising it in UHD before they've actually got access to the UHD masters, which could be days, weeks or even months away.

Re: The Gilded Age in UHD
So, false advertising then?. "Available in UHD" means just that!! Can somebody representing Sky respond and clarify, please?

Re: The Gilded Age in UHD
Does the advert say its available right now in UHD? If you feel that strongly then you can always make a compliant to OFCom.

Iv'e been looking as well for the uhd version......which is no where to be found, yet another example of sky's missleading advertising yet there never held to account.

Re: The Gilded Age in UHD
According to a response I got from Viewer Relations this morning:
The Gilded Age was planned to be released in UHD, just before lunch it had to be pulled due to technical difficulties.
It will get added to the platform in UHD but we are unsure when this will happen.
We have updated our marketing to reflect this change and I am sorry for any inconvenience this caused for you.
Now I think they meant to say just before launch, rather than lunch (but maybe it was!) but I don't think we're going to see it in UHD any time soon. So if the show interests you then just go ahead and watch it now in HD basically.

The person doing the definition got a rumbling tummy in the middle of it, so broke for lunch early

Also, don't watch the first epsiode from the AM showing. The quality is going to be terrible in HD. Download it instead. For a 1.5 hour show to be recorded at 1.29GB is dreadful.

Re: The Gilded Age in UHD
I watched the first episode in HD and the voiceover at the end says it's 'Exclusive to Sky Atlantic and in Ultra HD'. But it clearly isn't!
