What's going on is that The Blacklist has expired from Sky. If you had downloaded all of the episodes, they might still be on your box to watch. When you find a series you want to watch from On Demand, download every episode. IN a lot of cases, you get loger before it expitres or it may not expire. Sometimes the downloads will expire the same date as On Demand. But you won't know until you try.

It could be that your box didn't pick up the series after it's midseries break.

Re: 9The Blacklist Season 8

If you'd read what I posted I said I had it on series link. It failed to record (I still have episodes 1-6 of season 8 on my box) it's got nothing to do with the on-demand expiring. My point was (and remains) how come Sky broke the series link and what (in general) is going on with Blacklist as seasons 1-7 have not 'expired'

Re: 9The Blacklist Season 8

Yes, I guess so, but I was actually checking schedules fairly regularly and didn't even see them come back

Re: The Blacklist Season 8

I had the whole of series 8 recorded, but hadn't watched all of them, I was working my way through them to the point Sky "expired" the season.

I had reached episode 16 when they expired and all episodes subsequently disappeared from my recordings.

I've also seen the same behaviour with movies if they move from Sky Cinema to Sky Store - they are removed from recordings. Pretty despicable customer service.

Sky certainly have the technology to know what and when their customers are watching, so they certainly have the technology to at least notify customers in advance that recordings are due to be removed.

Re: The Blacklist Season 8

Season 8 aired on Feb 02, 2021. I know the December break was missed. Was there a break with season 8? I seem to recall that's why Sky airs The Blacklist late so there's no break.

Recordings wouldn't have been deleted. Downloads, however, will have been.

Nothing to do with Sky Store (totally different set of rights issues). But, like with TV episodes, downloaded movies will have a deletion date.

Sky+HD boxes do tell you the date that content will be deleted. As far as I know, Sky Q boxes only tell you when it is under 30 days.

Re: The Blacklist Season 8

They were recorded under series link, they were not downloads.

if I didn't delete them, and Sky didn't remove them, and I had plenty of hard disk space, I'd love to hear your thoughts on where season 8 went and I could no longer watch the remaining episodes?

Season 8 has expired. It was not part of the box set.

You can get season 8 from Amazon Prime Video .

Series 8 might have been on catchup so each episode would have been there for 30 days. If it was on boxsets then it looks like the rights were shorter which is why it has been removed, it can't just be put back as the world of TV rights doesn't work like that.
