Re: Super Rugby Pacific 2022

Had a response from sanzaar tv basically saying not to use ios and only use laptop which completely takes away the attraction for me.
I'll try it again in the morning but if I can't get the NZ teams on demand as advertised I will be asking for refund

Re: Super Rugby Pacific 2022

I'm absolutely fuming!!! I recently signed up to a new contract (with sky sports) and a large part of that was seeing that Sky UK had got the broadcast rights back.  I even checked a few times in different places to verify it.  I don't know when it changed but like many I've been looking forward to dragging my backside out of bed to watch Super Rugby.  Can't help but feel conned.

Works fine for me on an iPad with Safari. (11" iPadPro 2021 iOS 15.3). Both live streaming and playback of past games. Lovely and clear in full HD.

Is your iOS device to the latest OS?

Where did you see that claim? I hadn't seen anything for Sky since at least 2020... I gave up on SkySports back at the start of lockdown. I'm not interested in football or F1. And that's all they seem to show.

@TravellingKiwi @Yes it was all updated, and glad to say it's worked perfectly this morning. Was able to watch chiefs v highlanders from the start and now replaying the Canes v crusaders 👍👍👍😎

Re: Super Rugby Pacific 2022

It was on the Super Rugby broadcast guide.  It had Sky listed as having UK broadcasting rights.

@bmillward1  How upto date was that guide though? It could have been an outdated one

there is this article explaining why super rugby was pulled from uk broadcast

Re: Super Rugby Pacific 2022

Hi,

On iPhone & iPad is fine, but why can I not get it on my smart tv or MacBook? Any ideas, as I don't really want to pay £60 for something that I can only play on iPad or iPhone.

Thanks

Works for me on all platforms. iPad, iPhone, Mac OS. But quality today leaves a lot to be desired. The Auto tops out today at 720p but looks like 480p and it actually drops to 240p now & again.

Apparently they dropped an update during the week to make chromecast work 'better'. But it seems to have been detrimental for me watching on a MacPro 2013 with both Chrome and Safari.

A good day!

Home Nations July tours, Rugby Championship, Super Rugby live on Sky Sports until 2025 in SANZAAR deal.

Jonathan Licht, Sky Sports MD: "SANZAAR rugby has been in Sky Sports' DNA for almost 30 years and we're pleased to continue our important and valued partnership with SANZAAR"; deal includes England in Australia, Ireland in New Zealand, Wales in South Africa, Scotland in Argentina

Re: Super Rugby Pacific 2022

Sorry for connected but the slightly off question, but has anyone been able to watch the Super Rugby on SANZAR TV through the likes of Amazon Fire TV or Nvidia shield?? I'm getting sick of plugging the laptop onto the TV to watch the rugby each week!

Re: Super Rugby Pacific 2022

I'll answer part of my question - doesn't work on Apple Fire TV Cube as only internet browser now appears to be Amazon Silk and the SANZAR site doesn't support it.

You can install other browsers.

Re: Super Rugby Pacific 2022

From what I can tell the, there aren't really any other native internet browsers. Firefox is no longer available which leaves you with Silk and that is pretty much it! I'm trying to sideload Chrome to see if that works, but have been scuppered by the lack of a bluetooth mouse, as you need one to be able to click the "Accept" button after install. Time to order a bluetooth mouse...
