Re: Subtitles on Sky Glass

The subtitling issues continue with Glass. Apart from the lack of subtitles as I've previously described, I can't see any benefit to Glass. Viewing a programme that isn't live is a palaver. The Playlist is hopeless and nothing like as useful as a list of programmes you would've recorded on Q etc. My viewing experience has definitely deteriorated. The only reason I've kept Glass is because it suits the set up in my new home by the fact it has no wires. I'm very puzzled why you can't catch up with any Ch5 programmes. 5HD doesn't exist on Glass.

Re: Subtitles on Sky Glass

Hi Jacquidh

I understand your frustration with the subtitles on Glass. I have given up on creating a playlist as it's a waste of effort. Apart from lack of subtitles, I find Glass poor in other respects. It's difficult finding an episode of a programme you need as you have to do so much scrolling. Also why is there no My 5 available?  I've gicen up on expecting subtitles when they should be there. Sometimes if you leave some days to elapse between the live broadcast and watching by catch up the subtitles may appear. I'm deaf and a thoroughly disatified customer.

Re: Subtitles on Sky Glass

Were you watching on live TV? The subtitle setting works these but if watching catch up don't forget the subtitles are controlled by the apps own settings not the one on the remote.

As I mentioned lots of times the subtitles on glass are crap. Sometimes don't appear, often out of sync and go for did if you try and rewind a show or pause.

One of many many problems with glass.

Re: Subtitles on Sky Glass

@DebbieAW It may be you're watching the film in UHD. No subtitles work in UHD unfortunately. Incredibly poor of Sky. If you watch the HD version, subtitles should work.

You are a complete star. Change the format to HD now I have subtitles. Thank you so much.

Re: Subtitles on Sky Glass

I was about to say. Got to settings and change your picture setting from auto to hd and subtitles are here.

Agreed this is incredibly poor of sky.

Me and the girlfriend are hard of hearing and I have tinitus to boot and no one ever mentioned this. Saves me a fiver per month as UHD is gone. Without subtitles it's useless

Re: Subtitles on Sky Glass

Don't you find that often they

1. just disappear until you unplug the tv and plug in again

2. So often out of sync

3. If you pause or rewind a show it nearly always screws up subtitles
